Check it with a heat gun or by feel to see if there are hot and cold spots indicating a plugged core. If not, then I would be looking at the radiator. Some older equipment used shutters in front of the radiator to control the temp and your may not need a stat. Is it supposed to have a stat in it? If so, then I would put one in it and try that. Any help? What should I try next, thermostat? Any clue where I can get one? Pressure washed the radiator, which wasn't bad, drained all the coolant and flushed the system, it did not have a thermostat and I did not put one in, however, it stills runs up to the red after about twenty or thirty minutes. After pushing with it, the temp gauge starts to push to the red, so I idle it down and let it cool.
